True, the resolution of the webcam leaves much to be desired. 0.3 megapixels is not enough to count on a high-quality image during video conferencing. However, the device copes with video communication, so you can communicate with colleagues or friends in various instant messengers.
As for acoustics, it can please a pair of stereo speakers with a power of 2 watts each and Harman Kardon certification. The laptop sounds clean, there is no distortion even with a significant increase in volume. At the same time, the depth and balance of frequencies can be heard only with headphones connected. Given the relatively low cost and non-multimedia orientation of the device, such capabilities of the audio system are expected and uncritical.
Keyboard and touchpad
The ASUS X545FJ provides a membrane keyboard unit, there is a numpad that provides the necessary speed when entering numbers. Buttons-islands are very conveniently pressed, having a stroke depth of 1.4 mm; during printing, good returns and clearly marked characters help out. The sizes of most keys are optimal, however, the arrow unit is noticeably reduced, which at first will lead to erroneous clicks. Keyboard backlighting is available as an option.
The touchpad in the laptop is thought out both in terms of sensitivity, and in terms of functionality. The touch zone has dimensions suitable for frequent positioning. It is slightly recessed with respect to the palm rest, but this does not cause discomfort. Using the manipulator, you can scroll and zoom. Two keys hidden under the touchpad replace the mouse. Pressing at the bottom is comfortable, the sound produced in the work is minimal. In some versions there is a fingerprint scanner. In our case, this is just an option.
Performance
ASUS X545FJ-BQ034 (90NB0NQ2-M00380) with DOS allows you to immediately install the necessary operating system. Depending on your personal preference, it may be Linux or Windows. To solve everyday problems, the optimal filling is selected. At the head - a quad-core Intel Core i5-10210U chip with a frequency of 1600 MHz. Thanks to Turbo Boost, its indicator can increase to 4200 MHz, which leads to a performance increase. The processor is energy efficient (TDP 15 W), uses 6 MB of cache in the third level. The processor has enough capabilities to overpower office and undemanding multimedia computing.
The graphics system uses the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics card and the discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX230 . Both are built on 14-nm technology, support DirectX 12_1. The advantage of the accelerator from NVIDIA is the presence of 2 GB of its own GDDR5 video memory and the use of 256 unified streams. Of course, the graphics capabilities of the system are enough to decode video, output content to multiple external displays. If we talk about gaming capabilities, then a discrete graphics card will cope, for example, with the launch of Farming Simulator 19 or FIFA 20 mainly at medium settings and the native screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
Among the other components of the filling there are 8 GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive. The hard drive spindle speed is standard 5400 rpm, however, the HDD quickly performs requests. There is enough space on the drive for many work files and various media collections. As for the DDR4-2666 MHz RAM, it provides the necessary multitasking.
Ports and Communications
The connectors in the laptop fill the side ends of the case unevenly. The right side is almost empty. On it you can see only the DVD ± RW DL optical drive and the outdated 2.0 standard USB. On the left are: two USB 3.0, a digital HDMI interface, a combined audio jack, microSD card reader, as well as a recharge slot and RJ-45. The universal Type-C, unfortunately, is not provided. Wireless communications Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 ac) and Bluetooth 4.1 help in the exchange of data, in access to the Internet.
Battery

For its value, the laptop ASUS X545FJ-BQ034 is pretty thought out. It has a matte IPS display, a reinforced case, an ergonomic keyboard. Among the ports are necessary, although the presence of USB Type-C would not be amiss. The performance of the device allows you to count on the majority of simple tasks. At the same time, it does not have high autonomy, so you will have to spend battery power on a trip economically. In general, as a universal device designed to solve everyday tasks, the ASUS X545FJ laptop is quite suitable.
